The goal of this portion of my practice is to provide support and relief for those who have suffered an injury or physical trauma. Focusing on the musculoskeletal framework, I work to aid patients in their recovery from the sprains, strains, tightnesses and adhesions that accidents can cause.
Joints, bones, muscles, tendons and ligaments can all suffer injury. The goal is to help a patient achieve full function and strength. In order to do this, I use a number of approaches. The choice of an approach is dependent on the individual´s situation and health. Not only do I work to aid the healing of the body, I work to decrease the limitations created by the injury.
Among the strategies I use are adjustments to clear any congestion and to restore normal nervous system function. Ultrasound, manual muscle stimulation and massage serve to move out tissue waste, reduce local swelling and tissue congestion, and improve local circulation. Nutritional support helps in managing inflammation and tissue repair. All of these aid in restoring and maintaining joint mobility and overall system function.
